A Wrongful Death occurs when a person who has been injured by another person’s negligence dies as the result of their injuries. Any time a death results from injuries caused by the negligence of another it is a Wrongful Death.
Florida law recognizes that great harm is done to other family members when a person dies due to another person’s negligence. Therefore, Florida’s “Wrongful Death Act”provides that the person at fault for the Wrongful Death compensate both the estate of the deceased victim and the deceased victim’s survivors.
