Class Action

Enron Securities Litigation: Mr. Bacharach as part of  his representation of  an objector to the class action settlement pursued an appeal to the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.  The settlement of that appeal included an extension of claims period cut off date.  As a result 1,441 class members, who had not filed their claims prior to the original claims cut-off date were given the opportunity to have their claims evaluated. Without this improvement to the settlement, these 1441 class members would have received nothing.  After the claims cut-off date was extended the same 1,441claims had an aggregate value in excess of $430 million.
