Areas We Serve – Florida Veterans Disability Attorney

Areas We Serve

N. Albert Bacharach, Jr. is a U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) accredited attorney with fifty years of experience fighting for veterans, the disabled, and their families. Our office is in Gainesville, Florida, and we represent veterans throughout Florida — and, because VA disability claims are federal claims, veterans anywhere in the United States.

Most matters can be handled entirely by phone, Zoom, text, email, or snail mail. Below are the communities we serve most often. If your county isn’t listed, call us anyway — we can almost certainly help.

North Florida

Jacksonville

Jacksonville has one of the largest military and veteran communities in the country, anchored by NAS Jacksonville, Naval Station Mayport, and Blount Island Command. We handle VA disability claims and appeals, PACT Act claims, and VA malpractice cases for Duval County veterans.

Clay County — Orange Park, Lakeside & Green Cove Springs

Clay County has one of the highest concentrations of veterans in Florida, and Camp Blanding Joint Training Center sits within its borders. We represent veterans in Orange Park, Lakeside, Green Cove Springs, Fleming Island, Middleburg, and Keystone Heights.

St. Johns County — St. Augustine & St. Johns

St. Augustine is home to the St. Francis Barracks, headquarters of the Florida National Guard, and the county is filled with active-duty families and retirees. We serve veterans in St. Augustine, St. Johns, Ponte Vedra Beach, and Nocatee.

Bradford County — Starke, Lawtey & Hampton

Bradford County sits at the doorstep of Camp Blanding, and generations of Guard members and their families have called Starke home. Our Gainesville office is about 40 minutes away.

Lake City & Columbia County

Lake City is home to the Lake City VA Medical Center, one of the two hospitals in the North Florida/South Georgia Veterans Health System. We handle both VA disability claims and malpractice claims arising from care at that facility.

Live Oak & Suwannee County

Rural North Florida has always sent more than its share of sons and daughters into uniform. Distance is never a barrier — we handle Suwannee County claims by phone, Zoom, and mail, and BVA hearings can be held by video.

Ocala & Marion County

Marion County has one of the largest veteran populations in Florida. We represent veterans in Ocala, Silver Springs, Belleview, Dunnellon, Marion Oaks, and Fort McCoy — about 45 minutes from our office.

The Villages & Sumter County

The Villages holds one of the largest concentrations of military retirees in the United States, and we serve veterans throughout surrounding Sumter County, including Wildwood and Bushnell. Many of those veterans have service-connected conditions that worsened with age, or claims the VA denied decades ago — both of which we can still pursue.

Lake County — Clermont, Tavares & Leesburg

From Clermont and Groveland to Tavares, Leesburg, Eustis, and Mount Dora, Lake County is home to tens of thousands of veterans. We handle claims at every level, from the initial filing to the Federal Circuit.

Central Florida

Volusia County — Daytona Beach, Deltona & DeLand

Volusia County veterans receive care through the Daytona Beach VA Clinic and the Orlando VA Healthcare System. We represent veterans in Daytona Beach, Deltona, DeLand, Port Orange, Ormond Beach, New Smyrna Beach, and Edgewater.

Hillsborough County — Tampa, Brandon & Plant City

Home to MacDill Air Force Base — headquarters of U.S. Central Command and U.S. Special Operations Command — and the James A. Haley Veterans’ Hospital, Hillsborough County has one of the deepest military footprints in America.

Pinellas County — St. Petersburg, Clearwater & Largo

Pinellas County is home to the St. Petersburg VA Regional Office — the office that processes disability claims for veterans across Florida — and the Bay Pines VA Healthcare System, including the C.W. Bill Young VA Medical Center.

South Florida

Miami-Dade County — Miami, Hialeah & Homestead

With U.S. Southern Command in Doral, Homestead Air Reserve Base, and the Bruce W. Carter VA Medical Center, Miami-Dade County is home to one of the largest veteran populations in Florida. We serve the entire county, from Miami Beach to Homestead.

Broward County — Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood & Pembroke Pines

Broward County’s tens of thousands of veterans receive care through the William “Bill” Kling VA Clinic in Sunrise and the Miami VA Healthcare System. We represent veterans throughout the county, entirely by phone, Zoom, and mail when preferred.

Palm Beach County — West Palm Beach, Boca Raton & Boynton Beach

Anchored by the West Palm Beach VA Medical Center, Palm Beach County holds one of Florida’s largest veteran populations, including many retirees whose service-connected conditions have worsened with age.

Serving Veterans Nationwide

As a VA-accredited attorney, Mr. Bacharach is authorized to represent veterans before all 56 VA Regional Offices across the country, the Board of Veterans’ Appeals, the U.S. Court of Appeals for Veterans Claims, and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Wherever you live — from Florida to Alaska — we can help.
