Outpatient clinics include the Miami VA Clinic on Flagler (1492 W. Flagler Street, Suite 102, Miami, FL 33135; 305-541-5864) and the Homestead VA Clinic (950 N. Krome Avenue, Suite 401, Homestead, FL 33030; 305-248-0874). There is no VA clinic in Hialeah; Hialeah veterans generally use Flagler or the medical center.

Veterans injured by negligent medical care at a VA facility have two separate remedies — a Federal Tort Claim for a lump-sum recovery, which must be presented within two years, and a § 1151 claim for lifetime monthly compensation, which has no deadline at all.
